Actors Wanted For Boston University:

Spring 2026 Actor's Lab!

Actors wanted: Carolyn Pickman, in collaboration with BU’s Department of Film and Television, is now casting! They are seeking submissions of headshots and resumes from local actors who are available and interested in participating in film directing classes at BU’s Film School.
Selected actors will have the opportunity to work with student film directors under the supervision of Carolyn Pickman. The goal of these classes is to teach BU students how to shoot scripted scenes in collaboration with experienced actors.

BU students develop, produce, direct, shoot, record, and edit
medium-length productions that are of film festival quality,
and which can be incorporated into demo reels.

Local Actors who are committed and make these projects come to life are a vital component to these men and women seeking to become the next wave of Hollywood producers, directors, and cinematographers.

If you are a local New England actor, age 8-80, who is available,
flexible & dependable: We need your talent!

Projects will shoot on weekends in October & November.

You do not need to be available every weekend!
Actors will be given a copy of the finished footage.

This is UNPAID work.

Carolyn Pickman and Maura Smith will be hosting an
OPEN CASTING CALL on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7th
to introduce actors to the production teams.
